Draft pending legal review

This document is a working draft written in plain language to describe how MyVesta actually operates. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and is not legal advice. Wording may change before it becomes binding. The operating company is still being formed in Texas, so the entity name shown as [Legal Entity Name, a Texas company] is a placeholder and will be replaced once formation completes. Texas law will govern. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, write to privacy@myvesta.io and we will tell you exactly where the draft stands.

1. What cookies are, and our approach

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage — do the same job, and where this policy says “cookies” it means all of them.

We set no non-essential cookie until you say yes. The banner offers a genuine reject, rejecting is one click and works exactly like accepting, and nothing about the site degrades if you decline everything except the sign-in session you obviously need.

There are no advertising cookies on MyVesta, no social media pixels, and no cross-site trackers. We do not sell personal information and we have no advertising business to feed.

2. The categories we use

CategoryWhat it doesCan you turn it off?
Strictly necessarySign-in sessions, security tokens and your cookie choice itself. Without these the site cannot work, so they cannot be switched off.No — the service cannot run without it
PreferencesRemembers small choices you make — dismissed notices, layout preferences — so the site behaves consistently on your next visit.Yes, at any time
AnalyticsAggregate, non-content usage counts so we can see which pages help and which confuse. Never reads your vault, never builds an advertising profile.Yes, at any time
Affiliate referralRemembers which partner sent you, for 60 days, so they can be credited if you subscribe. Declining costs you nothing.Yes, at any time

5. Managing your preferences

  • Use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same panel with your current choices, and changes apply immediately.
  • Rejecting a category you previously accepted also clears the cookies in it, so a withdrawn consent actually removes something rather than just stopping future writes.
  • Your choice is remembered for 12 months in the mv_consent cookie, then we ask again.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a per-site control. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in.
  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals: where your browser sends one, we treat it as a rejection of all non-essential categories and do not ask again on that browser.

Anything unclear, or a cookie you have spotted that is not listed here? Tell us at privacy@myvesta.io — it means either our documentation or our code is wrong, and we want to know which.
