Attachments, file sizes and what not to upload
How files are stored, and the few things better kept out of a vault.
Attachments are stored in a private bucket. There is no public URL, and links used to display a file in your browser are short-lived and scoped to your session.
Practical limits
- Keep individual files under 25 MB — photograph pages rather than scanning at print resolution.
- Multi-page documents are easier to use as one PDF than as ten images.
What not to upload
MyVesta is not a password manager. Do not store banking passwords, PINs or card security codes. Record where an account is held and who to contact; keep the credentials in a dedicated password manager.
