How to think about emergency access without handing over everything.
The awkward truth behind MyVesta is that access matters most on the day someone cannot ask for it. Decide now, calmly, rather than later, urgently.
A reasonable default
- Give one trusted adult read access to insurance, home, contacts and estate or legal.
- Keep medical access to the people who would genuinely need it.
- Leave finance out unless there is a clear reason to include it.
Tell the person they have access and what it covers. An invitation nobody remembers accepting is not a plan.
